How does solar energy work?
Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which can be used to power your home or business.
What are the benefits of going solar?
Solar energy reduces your reliance on fossil fuels, lowers energy bills, and decreases your carbon footprint.
What area do you cover?
We are primarily focussed on Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire but also cover Derbyshire and the surrounding area.
How long does an installation take?
Usually no more than two days, and often we will be finished in one, depending on complexity. We usually have the scaffold installed a couple of days before, and we like to leave it up for a few days afterwards, in the unlikely event that we need to pop back for something.
Are RC Renewables insured?
Yes. We have both public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance; we need these anyway for our RECC and MCS compliance. We don’t hide behind insurance though, if you are unhappy with something, we will fix it.
Will you fit just an EV Charger?
The answer is yes, but you would probably get a better deal from an independent electrician. We are better value if we fit an EV charger as part of a solar installation.
Are there government grants?
Yes, under the EC04 scheme but they are not available to everyone. If someone in the household is on benefits, credits or support, we can help you establish if your property is eligible
What if solar isn’t right for me?
Absolutely no problem. The illustrations that we provide will show you precisely if solar will work for you or not. We will talk you through it, and if it is not the right time, we will agree that with you.
Will I pay VAT on my Installation?
If you have not utilised the government scheme previously for example on an air source heat pump, you will qualify for VAT free installation, making the initial investment even more affordable.
